QuietBridge

Privacy policy

Effective October 21, 2026

QuietBridge does not require an account. Core communication features remain local and work offline. Connected Bridge Requests are optional.

Developer and contact

QuietBridge is developed and operated by Teachers Alliance. For privacy questions or requests, email admin@seriousteachers.com. The organization website is SeriousTeachers.com.

Stored on your device

Your preferred name, trusted person’s name, personal quick requests, accessibility preferences, support card, quiet-time preference, and latest change plan are stored in your browser’s local storage. The Android app disables operating-system backup so this local information is not copied through Android backup.

Sharing

Before sharing, QuietBridge shows the intended recipient and the exact message. Information leaves the app only when you deliberately confirm and use your device’s Share feature. Your operating system and chosen messaging service then apply their own privacy policies.

Connected Bridge Requests

If you create a private Bridge Request, its message is encrypted in your browser before being stored temporarily. Workers KV receives ciphertext, a random request identifier, a one-way permission-token hash, and an expiry time—but not the decryption key. The ciphertext expires after one hour. A separate D1 status row contains only the random identifier, a yes/no acknowledgment flag, and the expiry time; it contains no message, key, name, or permission token and is removed during routine expiry cleanup. The private link contains the key and should be shared only with the intended person.

Service provider and network information

Cloudflare provides QuietBridge hosting, encrypted network delivery, and temporary storage. Like other internet infrastructure providers, Cloudflare may process standard network information such as an IP address to deliver and protect the service. QuietBridge does not use that information to determine location, advertise, build user profiles, or train AI. Cloudflare processes information under its privacy policy.

Google Play purchases

If you start a QuietBridge Premium trial or subscription, Google Play processes the purchase under Google’s privacy policy. QuietBridge receives a purchase token and subscription status so it can verify and restore Premium access. Teachers Alliance does not receive your complete payment-card or bank-account details. Subscription verification is performed through Google Play’s developer service, and the app provides a link to Google Play where you can manage or cancel the subscription.

Not collected

This beta has no advertising, analytics, location tracking, diagnosis collection, continuous conversation history, or AI training.

Your control

You can download your stored information or delete it from the Settings screen. Cancelling or completing a connected request asks the server to delete both its encrypted copy and status flag. If the connection is unavailable, the encrypted copy expires automatically. You can manage or cancel QuietBridge Premium through the Google Play subscription link in Settings. Deleting local app data does not cancel an active Google Play subscription.

Retention and security

Local information remains on your device until you delete it, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall QuietBridge. Connected request ciphertext is configured to expire after one hour. QuietBridge uses HTTPS for data in transit and AES-GCM encryption for connected request content. Only the private link carries the decryption key.

Limitations

QuietBridge is a communication aid. It is not a medical device, diagnostic service, therapy, crisis line, or emergency-response system.
